There were quaint buildings here and there that displayed the history and age of the city through its architecture.
The hotel I stayed at had a casino - which had to be "on the river". And that building had a river boat motif.
I did not walk the river walk mural wall. I did drive by it a few times. If it had been nicer I think I would have added that to my things to do but spent most of the days walking in the military park.I did the driving tour as well. The one building on the route that prompted me to get out of the car - the old court house. Impressive from the outside. The inside - reminded me of some of the antique shops in downtown Waxhaw - lots of junk. The courtroom was upstairs and has some history to the Civil War.
